We train vocational skills, to enable youths self sustain in the future.

Mityana Open Troop, is a registered community based organization (CBO/NGO) formed way back in1997, by a group of boy scouts, who had been affected by HIV/AIDS scourge and socio-economic factors. The organization initially was focusing on HIV/AIDS,STIs sensitizations and preventions, conducting health talk shows amongst the youths and child nutrition in the wider communities.
Further, in 2007 with support from the UK project partners, led in by Mr. Andrew HoweM/s Laura Louise Fairley, Mr. Jamie Page, and Mr. Christopher Eldridge, enabled the project to construct its administration block, where the project found it important to start training practical vocational skills to unemployed youths, school dropouts due to lack of school fees or unwanted preginancies, whom are trained skills awarded certificates along with start-up tools, to enable them self sustain in the future by being able to set up own jobs. However, the orgaization constructed a houses to an elderly looking after 20 orphans, donating clothings , mosquito nets, blankets and scholastic materials to the poor families.
